The 2025 Call for Vendors is here!
The Student Projects subcommittee of the Hart House Art Committee is excited to announce the Spring Art Market to showcase the wonderful talent we have on campus to take place on April 8th, 2025 at the Great Hall!
Staff, Student, and Faculty-owned small businesses, student/faculty/staff artists and artisans that sell hand-made goods (i.e. art prints, crafts, handmade clothing, jewellery etc.) are invited to apply to be market vendors! Please note that this year vendors participating in the market will have to pay a station fee of $20 as a fundraising endeavour for the Art Committee. The revenue of this event will go towards the Hart House Art Committee's budget. Vendors will be required to handle their own transactions. Please note that edible goods are not eligible to be sold at this time.
Date and time: April 8th, 2025 from 12:00pm - 4:00pm (Please note vendors must be at the Great Hall no later than 11:30AM to ensure the market can start in time.)
Location: Hart House Great Hall
Selection Criteria
Student projects' goal is to offer the university community to view and purchase a variety of hand-made goods ranging from art and photography to clothes and stationary. In the evaluation process, vendors will be evaluated based on the presentation of their businesses and diversity of products. Therefore, applicants are not selected on a first-come first-serve basis. We are open to applications from all kinds of businesses selling a variety of products.
Due to large number of applicants to our past art markets, we ask applicants to adhere to the submissions deadline to show fairness and respect to other applicants. While we wish we could include all vendor applicants, we ask for understanding from vendors who will not make it into the market. All applicants who do not get a spot initially will automatically be placed on a waitlist. We ask those applicants to understand that we cannot give them their exact number of the waitlist. This is because we select applicants that match the category of the vendor who cancelled. (Meaning if a jewelry vendors cancels, for example, we look for an applicant that sells similar jewelry to ensure the market's diverse offerings.) The shortlisted applicants will be contacted via the email provided in case of any cancellations.
Previous vendors are welcome to reapply, but they will not be given special priority which does not mean they will be less valued but considered equally among all other applicants.
