Selection Process
All submissions will be reviewed by the student members of the Core Publishing Team of the Hart House Student Art Committee. Selection decisions are made collectively and are based on the following criteria:
Thoughtful Analysis and Critical Thinking
Submissions should present a clear, well-developed argument and demonstrate meaningful engagement with an arts-related topic.
Quality of Writing
Writing should be clear, coherent, and largely free of grammatical, stylistic, and structural errors.
Scholarly Rigor
Arguments should be supported by appropriate academic sources, with accurate and consistent citations.
Overall Diversity of the Publication
The Core Publishing Team aims to curate each edition with a diverse range of topics, disciplines, methodologies, and perspectives within the study of art.

This publication aims to showcase student scholarship, encourage interdisciplinary dialogue in the arts, and provide emerging researchers with hands-on editorial experience.
We look forward to receiving your submissions and celebrating the breadth of student research in the arts.
